John Bunyan

The trail of John Bunyan’s life and travels is 121 kilometres (75 miles) long.

John Bunyan is famous for his book “The Pilgrims’ Progress”, his preaching in Bedfordshire and elsewhere, and for his time in prison.

The best place to start learning about his life is by visiting Elstow Moot Hall – a beautiful timber-framed building. The exhibition there includes a great deal of information on Bunyan.

Incidentally there are some very old timber-framed houses in Elstow, which are worthy of attention.
